So, I ended up moving these ones in here.  I think it looks a little bit dull right now with the autumn decor in there but I think I will really like it once we add some greenery in there for Christmas! And then I have some other greenery we usually have out the rest of the year. Den and New Wood Floor

Hello!  We recently removed the carpet from our den and replaced it with wood laminate from Lowes and we couldn't be happier with the results.  The room is approximately 12 x 12 and the total cost was around $200.  Not too bad.  Originally, I wanted to remove the carpet and refinish what I thought was hardwood underneath.  But sadly, that wasn't the case.  We were surprised to find the entire room was plywood, not just around the staircase.  However, we like this floor much better.  :)<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Despite a lot of hunting for them we haven't come across any real pumpkins yet and it's still quite hot here so I'm hoping that by adding a few darker cozy touches to this room will help make it feel like fall is on the horizon. In just a few more weeks the leaves on this tree will be a brilliant color. Or at least I am hoping they will be. And I put one of our chalkboard canvases in <a href="http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2014/07/a-little-more-progress-in-our-hallway.html">the hallway</a> where this mirror was. Then I will swap everything back again in January. I know that probably sounds a little bit crazy but it actually took less than five minutes to do the switch and I like how it looks this way a little bit better for fall. An Oil Painting for Our Den

We haven't changed much in here but we did add a painting above the fireplace (and moved the mirror that was there to the upstairs hallway). This painting was my grandfather's and my mom kindly passed it on down to me because she knew how much I loved it. I love having such a visual reminder of him in our home.<br /><br />With the except of the lamps and the drapery panels we pretty much already owned everything in here before we moved which was nice. Our guest room is completely painted and the furniture all in place I am just waiting on the new light fixture to arrive (it's supposed to be here today - yay!) and I need to add a few more accessories. Our master bedroom is midway through being painted right now so it's a total disaster. I finished up painting the trim yesterday but still need one more coat on the windows and then I will attack the doors (there are SIX doors - ugh!) and then walls.  I thought I would share some photos of what some of the other rooms look like now with all the Christmas decorations put away. I just added a couple of Target pillows and pulled our Love is Patient Pillow Set back out. I added some dried hydrangeas from the fall to the chest behind the sofa and put our two amaryllis plants on the mantel.
